Created by French master chef Didier Leroy, this béchamel sauce—infused with Van Houtte® Colombian Dark Roast coffee—is great on pasta or the perfect complement to your morning crepe. This recipe couldn’t be easier to make and is sure to take mealtime to the next level.

Mix the coffee and milk. Set aside.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, whisking constantly.
Slowly whisk the coffee and milk mixture in the roux (butter and flour mixture).
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Season to taste (salt and cardamom).
Pour the béchamel sauce over pasta and add ricotta, goat or parmesan cheese.
